The Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MWCCI) will host the inaugural Mid West Economic and Resources Summit in Geraldton this year, merging the region's two successful industry events; the Mid West Economic Summit and the Mid West Resources Forum.

Continuing on from the success of the 2003, 2005 and 2007 Mid West Economic Summits and the 2008 and 2009 Mid West Resources Forum, delegates will be introduced to high calibre speakers from the mining, financial, community and government sectors.

The two day Summit provides the opportunity for delegates to receive concise and meaningful updates on the very latest information on the national, state and regional economy and developments in the Mid West resources sector. Along with the supporting dinner event, the Summit is also designed to facilitate vital networking opportunities between the key players in the Mid West resources industry and local businesses.

The Mid West Economic and Resources Summit 2010 focuses on "Opportunities Now". Given the planned development for the region, the Summit will explore how to prepare for and harness the region's prospects now.

The conference will include updates from key Mid West Miners as well as a focus on infrastructure, skills shortage, sustainability, lifestyle and tourism, current projects in the region and the state of the economy.
